Navigating IVF, medical jargon and medications can be intimidating in any situation

Being in a queer or same-sex relationship can present extra challenges. At The Fertility Suite all our practitioners are supportive of LGBTIQ+ rights.

Whilst there’s been a lot of positive cultural change on the whole, being in a queer or same-sex relationship can still present extra challenges when you’re trying to have a baby.

Sometimes you need to overcome inadvertent discrimination such as having to explain to staff at the IVF clinic that your partner is not a man, or that you’re not in a heterosexual relationship.

You may have questions around choosing donor sperm and the avenues available to you. Or if you and your partner are using a surrogate to grow your baby, you may want to boost your sperm quality prior to collection.

Lucy has experience working with same-sex and queer couples and is a member of the LGBTIQ+ community. At The Fertility Suite, we are proud that all our practitioners are supportive of LGBTIQ+ rights.
